What happened to baby Solomon?

Posted: 04/20/2012

BALTIMORE (WMAR) - More than 40 years ago a three-year-old toddler disappeared from a Baltimore shopping center. Now police are asking for your help finding him.

The Maryland Missing Persons Network is reminding the public that they still need help finding Solomon Gomile Rose, III, who is still missing 40 years after his disappeared under suspicious, foul play circumstances.

Solomon was last seen on April 1, 1972 at the Mondawmin Shopping Center. His mother had taken him and his then 7-year-old cousin to the shopping center to cash a check.

While Solomon's mother was inside, Solomon was left in the care of his cousin, but when she came back a few minutes later, she found her niece watching television at Sears and Solomon was gone.

He has not been seen or heard from since.

There have been very few leads in Solomon's abduction over the years.

At the time of his disappearance, Rose was about 3' tall, 38 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a navy blue turtleneck, blue and white checkered pants, a brown coat and tan buck shoes.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 410-396-2640.

Suspect named in 32-year-old cold case

Reporter: Tim Maestas

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Police are releasing new information in a cold case that dates back 30 years involving the disappearance of two young cousins from a neighborhood east of downtown Albuquerque.

In September of 1979 Billy Sena, 11, was riding bikes with his cousin, Mary Lou Sena, 9, in the family’s neighborhood. The cousins never came home that day.

Exhaustive police searches turned up nothing, and for decades the case files only gathered dust.

Although the case has recently been brought back to life by APD’s Cold Case Unit.

MISSING SINCE SUMMER OF 1983
Age-Progressed Image Released of 1983 Cold Case of Missing Teen

LAKELAND | The summer of 1983 was coming to an end and Clifton Leonard wanted to spend time with friends on Lake Hollingsworth.

The 16-year-old boy with schizophrenia was recovering from a breakdown that hospitalized him for several days. A new year was starting at Lakeland High School. He eagerly wanted to return and eventually graduate with his classmates.

But on the evening of Aug. 24, Leonard never returned from visiting friends on the lake.

"We have more questions than answers," said Donna Wood, a sheriff's spokeswoman.

Twenty-eight years later, the Polk County Sheriff's Office still searches for clues to Leonard's whereabouts. He would be 44 years old today. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has assisted sheriff's detectives by creating an age-progressed photograph of what a middle-aged Leonard would look like.
