Suspect Named In Rogers Woman's Disappearance

Police have formally named the ex-boyfriend of a Rogers woman last seen June 1st as a suspect in her disappearance, as investigators continued to search areas of Beaver Lake.

Police say 35-year-old Randall Todd Greenway is not cooperating with police as they search for Alicia Minton. But Rogers police Corporal Tracy Groomer says officers "haven't given up any hope that she may be found alive."

Groomer says "credible information" had police searching specific portions of the lake, which a sheriff's deputy identified as an estimated four-mile area near Prairie Creek.

Twenty-nine-year-old Minton dropped her two of her children off at friend's house before reportedly heading to the lake. Searchers there found a purse that may have belonged to Minton on June 15th.

Rogers Woman Misleads Police on Missing Person Case

This article was published on Wednesday, August 8, 2007
BY THE MORNING NEWS

ROGERS -- A Rogers woman was arrested in connection with providing misleading information to police about the disappearance of Alicia Minton.

Michele Sanchez, 43, of Rogers was arrested Monday in connection with felony hindering apprehension or prosecution by the Rogers Police Department.

Sanchez stated to police early in the Minton investigation she had relevant information regarding Minton's disappearance on June 1, according to a Rogers Police Department news release.

Minton was reported missing June 4. Early reports indicated she traveled to Beaver Lake at Prairie Creek.

Local law enforcement agencies are still searching the lake for Minton or any sign of her.

Police interviewed Sanchez on several occasions and allege she gave false information regarding the case.

Sanchez was being held Tuesday in the Benton County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.

No further information was released on Tuesday by the Rogers Police Department regarding Minton's case since it's still an active investigation, according to the news release.

Search Continues

Local police and volunteers continue their search at Beaver Lake for Alicia Minton, 30, of Bentonville in the area of Prairie Creek. Minton has been missing since June 1 in Rogers.

Anyone who saw Minton or had contact with her is asked to call the Rogers Police Department at 621-1129 or the Benton County Sheriff's Office at 271-1009.

There is also a Web site with an offer of $1,000, "for information that ultimately helps solve this missing person case."

Alicia Minton
Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance

Missing Since: June 1, 2007 from Rogers, Arkansas
Classification: Endangered Missing
Age: 29 years old
Height and Weight: 5'7, 110 pounds
Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian female. Brown hair, brown eyes.
Clothing/Jewelry Description: A red bikini bathing suit, a red tank top, shorts and pink flip-flops.

Details of Disappearance

Minton was last seen at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Rogers, Arkansas at 1:00 p.m. on June 1, 2007. She left her children with a friend and went to Beaver Lake. She has never been heard from again. A short time after her disappearance, her silver BMW 30i was found parked at the intersection of Second and Locust Streets. On June 15, her purse was found floating in Beaver Lake. Authorities believe they have identified the boat she took out onto the water.

Authorities do not believe Minton left of her own accord, as she did not take any personal belongings with her. She had a troubled past. In 1998 one of her four children was taken from her shortly after birth because she admitted she used drugs heavily during the pregnancy. Minton's ex-boyfriend, Randal Todd Greenway, is considered a person of interest in her case. He has an extensive criminal record, with six felony convictions prior to June 2007. He has not been charged in connection with Minton's disappearance, but he pleaded guilty to drug charges after her disappearance and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Greenway allegedly abused Minton and at least one police report was filed as a result.

Minton's case remains unsolved and foul play is suspected. Authorities believe her body is in Beaver Lake.

Search for Body of Alicia Minton Called Off

Alicia Agent
5NEWS Web Producer
7:43 a.m. CDT, August 17, 2011

Officials called off the search at Beaver Lake Tuesday night for the body of Alicia Minton, a Bentonville woman who has been missing for four years.

Cpt. Mike Jones at the Benton County Sheriff’s Office says they received some additional information after Minton’s former boyfriend Randall Todd Greenway entered a guilty plea in June of this year.

Jones says the search had been in the planning stages for some time and they chose to begin this week for reasons he wouldn’t explain.

Greenway was sentenced to 40 years in prison for capital murder after admitting he cut Minton’s neck and dumped her body in Beaver Lake, according to the Benton County Prosecutors Office.
