Police seek missing Eagle man

EAGLE — Police are looking for an Eagle man missing since before Thanksgiving.

John M. Vengrin, 55, has not been seen or heard from since Nov. 20.

The Eagle County Sheriff's office was contacted by Vengrin's landlord on Jan. 17, who reported Vengrin was missing.

The landlord reported Vengrin missing after he located Vengrin's vehicle in long term parking at the Eagle County Regional Airport.

Deputies were unable to locate any flight information for Mr. Vengrin, so he was entered as a missing person.

On Friday, deputies removed Vengrin's vehicle, a green Ford Explorer, from the airport parking lot. Deputies searched both the vehicle and Vengrin's residence, but found nothing suspicious.

Vengrin has a brother in New York state, who didn't have any information either, deputies said.

Vengrin used to work with Eagle County's community development department.
