BERNALILLO COUNTY — The car driven by missing person Brenda Salas, 27, was discovered on the intersection of Encino and Frost Roads in Bernalillo County.

Salas was last seen on June 13 around 10:30 at the Wal-Mart located at 901 Unser Blvd. in Rio Rancho. Her car was discovered June 29. She is described as a Hispanic female, 5’03” tall, 225 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray Winnie the Pooh sweatshirt, blue jeans and white or possibly black Ssketcher shoes.

An extensive search of the area by the Sandoval County Sheriff’s Department did not locate Ms. Salas. It is believed that Ms. Salas may have received a ride out of the area where her vehicle was found.

Bernalillo County — In cooperation with the Rio Rancho Police Department please note that the following person is a Missing Person.Brenda Salas (27) was last seen on Wednesday 06-13-12 at about 1030 at the Wal-Mart located at 901 Unser Blvd. in Rio Rancho. Ms. Salas is described as a Hispanic female, 5’03” tall, 225 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes. Ms. Salas was last seen wearing a gray Winnie the Pooh sweatshirt, blue jeans and white or possibly black sketcher shoes.

The vehicle that she was last seen driving was found on 06/29/12 at approximately 9:00 pm in the mesa off Encino road and Frost road in Sandoval County.

An extensive search of the area by the Sandoval County Sheriff’s Department did not locate Ms. Salas. It is believed that Ms. Salas may have received a ride out of the area where her vehicle was found.

Police update description of missing woman

After investigation, Rio Rancho police modified the description of missing Bernalillo resident Brenda Salas to say she weighs about 195 pounds and has auburn hair.

Salas, 27, was last seen at the Rio Rancho Walmart on June 13. Her vehicle was found June 29 near Encino and Frost roads.

She’s Hispanic, 5 feet, 3 inches tall and has brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray Winnie the Pooh sweatshirt, and blue jeans.
