The search continues for Skylar Neese, 16, who went missing from Star City 11 days ago.

Star City Police continue to follow all leads and have filed warrants for her cell phone and Internet records.

An early lead that she was seen in North Carolina has turned up nothing.

Neese was last seen on surveillance video at the James Place Apartments on Crawford Avenue.

Star City Police's investigation in North Carolina into the whereabouts of missing Skylar Neese has come to an end.

Earlier in the week, police received a tip that the missing 16-year-old had been located in North Carolina.

Star City began working with the Carolina Beach Police to investigate the tip, but has determined the girl spotted was not Neese.

Neese was last seen at her residence Friday, July 6.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Star City Police Department at 304-599-3550.

Star City Police Chief Vic Propst said they are working with the police department in Carolina Beach, North Carolina, after someone may have spotted Skylar Neese, 16, in their area.

This is still a missing person's case until it can be confirmed, Chief Propst said.

The FBI is also assisting with the search and Chief Propst said they are doing everything they can to locate Neese.

The Star City Police Department is seeking information regarding the whereabouts of a missing girl.

Police said Skylar Neese, 16, of Star City was last seen at her residence on Friday.

Police said foul play is not suspected, but she has not made contact with her family.

Sky Ride Drives to Bring Skylar Neese Home

MANNINGTON - More than a month since Skylar Neese, 16, went missing in Star City, friends and family continued efforts to bring her home Saturday. They gathered in Mannington for a fund-raising-ATV ride called a "Sky Ride."

Participation cost $10 per vehicle. Riders also brought a covered food dish for a meal afterward.

An auction and 50/50 drawing also helped raise money for the reward fund.

"I remember Skylar from when she was just a little girl, 4 or 5-years-old and she was always running around with curls bouncing around and she was just the cutest little thing," said family friend Jennie Shuman. "And when I heard that it was her who was missing it just broke my heart."

Neese was last seen Friday, July 6, at her home in Star City. Anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact Star City Police at 304-599-3550.

It's been almost six months since Skylar Neese, 16, was last seen at her home in Star City.

Various leads on the whereabouts of Neese have come up empty.

Star City Police Chief Vic Propst said the West Virginia State Police are now handling the investigation.

State Police are also working with the U.S. Attorney's office.

Neese was last seen on surveillance video at the James Place Apartments on Crawford Avenue.

Candlelight Service to be Held for Missing Star City Girl

It's been seven months since Star City teenager Skylar Neese was reported missing, and on Sunday, the community will honor her.
 
A candlelight service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday to celebrate Neese's birthday.
 
The service will be held at 501 Crawford Avenue in Star City.

Body of Missing Skylar Neese Recovered In Pennsylvania

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced Wednesday in a news release that the body recovered in Wayne Township, Pennsylvania, on January 16, 2013, has been scientifically identified as that of Skylar Neese.
 
Skylar was reported missing by her parents in July of 2012, and was last seen seen on surveillance video at James Place Apartments.
 
The testing of the body was conducted by the laboratory of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
 
The investigation into the disappearance of Neese and her subsequent death is ongoing and is being handled by the FBI.  Authorities have not said whether or not they believe foul play is a factor in this case.
