Husband Of Missing Firefighter Talks To Channel 9

POSTED: 4:59 pm EDT August 23, 2006
UPDATED: 12:32 pm EDT August 24, 2006

MELBOURNE, Fla. -- The husband of a missing Central Florida firefighter talked only to Channel 9. Former Osceola County Fire Chief Jeffrey Hall begged for his wife's safe return Wednesday.

Mr. Hall was very emotional. It has been nearly a week since he last saw his wife and the mother of his children. He said he wants more than anything to know where she is.

"I'm begging. Somebody has to know something. They need to contact the authorities and let them know where she's at. We beg you. Your children need you. We really need you," Jeffery Hall said.

Blood found in woman's truck
Firefighter missing 6 days

BY J.D. GALLOP
and KIMBERLY C. MOORE

PALM BAY - Six days after Malabar volunteer firefighter Brandy Hall's disappearance, the focus is on possible blood evidence found in her waterlogged pickup truck.

"We found what appeared to be blood," Palm Bay Police Chief Bill Berger said of potential evidence found after the truck was pulled from a pond near the city's Brevard Community College campus last Friday.

"Because the car was filled with water, there wasn't a lot of it," he said.

VIERA — The search for missing Malabar volunteer firefighter Brandy Hall moved Thursday morning from a muddy pond in Palm Bay to a trash-dotted stretch of Interstate 95 in the Viera-Rockledge area.

Later in the day, Hall’s husband asked for the public’s help in locating her.

“I’m scared to death,” Jeffrey Hall said Thursday, his two attorneys by his side. “Somebody’s got to know something. If somebody’s seen Brandy, call the authorities.”

Video Shows Firefighter Shortly Before Disappearance

POSTED: 12:35 pm EDT August 24, 2006

PALM BAY, Fla. -- Channel 9 obtained video Thursday of a missing Malabar firefighter. Brandy Hall disappeared one week ago.

From behind the lens of several surveillance cameras scattered throughout the Malabar Fire Station, Brandy Hall's last known movements were captured. One camera showed Hall drive off in her Chevy pickup truck.

"The video is significant in two aspects. One, it puts her alive at approximately 10:45pm on Thursday. It also allows us to put her behind the wheel of her green truck," said Yvonne Martinez, Palm Bay Police Department.

Missing Firefighter Investigation

Palm Bay Police say it now appears missing firefighter Brandy Hall was the victim of a homicide. Detectives say blood in her truck has caused them to now lean towards that conclusion.

Tests confirm it was Hall's blood and police say it was a significant amount that alarmed them. The truck was pulled out from a pond a week ago Friday after Hall's firefighting gear was found floating in the pond that afternoon.

"At this point, we're looking at everyone as a suspect and until we can rule people out," Detective Mark Fell said.

Pond Drained Again In Firefighter Search

POSTED: 8:56 am EDT August 30, 2006

Palm Bay detectives plan to have a pond drained for the second time hoping the waters will reveal more secrets to a missing firefighter, according to Local 6 News partner Florida Today.

The last time firefighter Brandy Hall was seen alive was nearly two weeks ago, when she climbed into her green pickup truck outside the Malabar Fire Station.

That truck later was found at the muddy bottom of a Palm Bay pond authorities spent days draining.

"This will be done as soon as possible," Palm Bay Police Detective Jess Suelter said. "There are a lot of people in that decision-making process,"
