Brandy Hall friends plan fundraiser

BY J.D.GALLOP
FLORIDA TODAY

PALM BAY  Friends of missing Malabar firefighter Brandy Hall will host a garage sale this weekend to raise funds for her childrens trust fund.

The garage sale is open to the public and will take place Saturday at Trailriders, a horse club located on Eber Road. Hall, whose disappearance Aug. 17 set off an investigation by Palm Bay police, had two children.

Her husband Jeff Hall is in prison serving an 18-month sentence on an unrelated marijuana conviction.

Were just trying to raise some money to support these children. They dont have any medical insurance, nothing. They need our support, said Lynn Troup, a close friend of the Halls and an organizer of the sale.

Troup said the couples 6-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter are in the care of family members.

They write their fathers letters and he is allowed phone calls with them, Troup said, adding the children are still seeing counselors to help cope with the disappearance of their mother.

Troup and her friends have also raised over $1,800 as part of a $10,000 reward for information leading to Halls whereabouts. All of the proceeds from the garage sale will go to the Hall Childrens Trust Fund at Riverside National Bank, Troup said.

Hall was last seen leaving the Malabar Volunteer Fire Station on Aug. 17, 2006. Her fire gear was found floating the next day in a pond near the Brevard Community Colleges Palm Bay campus. Investigators are treating the case as a homicide investigation.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Palm Bay police at 952-3456.

Divers Search Pond Again In Search Of Missing Firefighter

POSTED: 7:30 am EST December 4, 2007
UPDATED: 7:34 am EST December 4, 2007

PALM BAY, Fla. -- New information prompted Palm Bay divers to renew their search for missing Brevard County firefighter Brandy Hall.

They went back to the pond along Treeland Boulevard, Monday, because of recent sonar data that detected two unknown objects in the water. Investigators believe they may be clues to her disappearance.

Palm Bay police said they searched for an hour, but didn't find anything major during the dive.

Hall was last seen in August of 2006. Her truck was found near the pond.

Mother Holds Out Hope For Missing Daughter

Last Edited: Friday, 09 May 2008, 11:49 PM EDT
Created: Friday, 09 May 2008, 11:48 PM EDT

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- It's been nearly 2 years since Brandy Hall disappeared. The last time anyone saw her was when she left work on August 17th, 2006.

The next day investigators pulled her truck from a Palm Bay pond. It was filled with blood. But there was no sign of Brandy.

Nor has there been since.

Her family is holding out hope this strong woman is still alive.

In her first one on one interview--Brandy's mom Debbie Rogge re-lives the last two years without her daughter and best friend.

“It's just like a part of your heart is gone,” Rogge said. “Your family isn't here.”

Hall has two children--a 12 year old and a six year old.

Grandma Rogge wants to keep the kids' identities and location private--but say they're hurting for their mom.
.
“They said to tell her they love her and miss her and want to see her,” Rogge said fighting back tears. “It would be great if she would just come and stand here and be here.”

Rogge doesn't think Brandy Hall would have left on her own--she thinks someone took her.

Right now police have no idea where she could be.

They say she disappeared one day before a judge sentenced her husband for having a huge marijuana growing operation at their home.

But that's not what Hall's mother is focusing on right now.

“If someone finds her, please bring her home,” she said. “I wish somebody could find her and bring her home. It’s just hard to live without her.”

Police: Helmet Not Linked To Disappearance
Item Found Month Ago By Fishermen

POSTED: 11:48 am EDT August 7, 2008
UPDATED: 1:40 pm EDT August 7, 2008

PALM BAY, Fla. -- A weathered firefighter's helmet found by fishermen a month ago has become the latest focus of detectives in the nearly 2-year-old case of missing Malabar firefighter Brandy Hall.

The Osceola County Fire Department helmet was found at an Indian Harbour Beach marina near Mathers Bridge -- a popular spot for fishermen, Local 6 News partner Florida Today first reported.

But Palm Bay detectives are unsure if the helmet could be linked to the disappearance of the one-time Osceola firefighter who was last seen Aug. 17, 2006. Hall, a 32-year-old mother of two, was last seen on surveillance video footage walking out of the Malabar Fire Department headquarters.

Police said the helmet was discovered last month on the side of the road next to the Tel Mar Bay Marina in Indian Harbour Beach. A firefighter from Orange County who was in the area recognized it as belonging to the Osceola County Fire Department and returned it to the agency. Realizing it may belong to the missing firefighter, the helmet was turned over to Kissimmee Police who then contacted Palm Bay detectives. According to a police interview with Hall's husband, the helmet was kept in the couple's shop in West Melbourne, which is the last place it was seen.

Detectives said on Thursday morning they don't believe the helmet, or its recent discovery, is in any way connected to Hall's disappearance in August 2006.

"It's not a significant development," said Detective Mike Pusatere. "But we still had to rule out any suspicions that it may be connected."

On the two-year anniversary of Brandy Hall's disappearance, family and friends are planning a "celebration" instead of a vigil for Brandy at the park next to Malabar Volunteer Fire Department from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The case has generated a number of tips for Palm Bay police detectives but none that have led to Hall, who worked for the Osceola Fire Department in the late 80s was married to the county's top firefighter, Jeff Hall. Last year, Jeff Hall was sentenced to 18 months in state prison in connection with a marijuana growing operation discovered at the couple's Holopaw property.

On Aug. 18, 2006, Brandy Hall's truck -- with blood on the front seat -- was pulled from a pond near Brevard Community College's Palm Bay campus after a fisherman spotted firefighting gear floating nearby.

New developments in missing firefighter Brandy Hall

By Greg Pallone, Reporter  Last Updated: Wednesday, August 17, 2011 12:27 AM

PALM BAY --

Palm Bay detectives said they are confident they will figure out what happened to Brandy Hall.

It was five years ago when the former Palm Bay firefighter disappeared.

Officials held a news conference Tuesday regarding new developments in the disappearance and presumed homicide of Hall.

Hall disappeared on Aug. 17, 2006. Her truck was pulled from the bottom of a secluded pond off of Treeland Boulevard. Investigators said they found a significant amount of blood in the truck. They said there is no evidence that she is alive.

Since her disappearance, detectives have conducted numerous interviews and compiled a short list of potential suspects that may have been involved or have knowledge of what happened to Hall.

Tuesday morning, Palm Bay detectives met with FBI profilers who are now assisting with the investigation.

Brandy Hall
Missing since August 17, 2006

Brandy Hall is a role model to her family, friends and the entire Central Florida community where she lives. The thirty-two year old mother of two has worked as a paramedic and firefighter in the area for over ten years. But after a devastating year in which her husband Jeff is arrested for marijuana cultivation and Brandy loses her job, she mysteriously disappears. Less than 24 hours later, Brandy's truck is found submerged at the bottom of a pond and it's only the beginning of a series of mysterious clues that baffle investigators and leave Brandy's loved ones bereaved and confused.

If you have information about Brandy Hall, contact Palm Bay Police Dept (FL), (321)952-3456.
