Although the official investigation continues, family members are now taking the search for Pam Biggers into their own hands.

"You think of nothing but good thoughts, but you can't help but think of something bad," said Don Biggers, Pam's husband.

After days of searching Bay County, today the family split up towards Alabama, Georgia, and farther into west Florida.

Biggers disappeared from her hotel room Sunday night, leaving behind all of her belongings.

Family members were given 1,000 more missing person fliers today to take with them on the road. They say they'll continue to search until Pam's found, but as the days go by it's getting tougher and tougher.

"I hate the nights. I hate the nights," said Biggers.

They continue to plea for help in hopes that Pam will soon be found.

"If you're watching Pam or you can hear us, we're looking for you. Call somebody, call anybody. Have somebody call home. Have somebody call the police, the sheriff. We'll come and get you, we'll come and get you," said Paula Thomas, Pam's sister.

And though Pam has not turned up, family members say they're thankful to the community for all the help they've received.

Pam Biggers is 5' 8" and weighs about 135 pounds. Deputies believe she's wearing a white sweater and black pants. If you have any information about Pam Biggers, please call 911 immediately.

Search Expands for Missing Alabama Woman

Thursday, Jan 31, 2008 - 11:37 PM Updated: 09:57 AM

HUEYTOWN, Ala. --   The search for a missing Hueytown woman is spreading across three states.  52 year old Pamela Biggers was last seen Sunday night in Panama City Florida.  Her family is looking for answers in Florida, Georgia, and here in central Alabama.

Patty Moore is putting up fliers at area businesses, she's looking for her high school friend Pam Biggers.

"It just hurts you a lot to know that she's gone and we don't know where she's at," says Moore.  "She was in my wedding and we just had a lot of fun in high school. She was just an outgoing person and we always had a lot of fun."

Biggers went missing over the weekend in Florida while on a business trip.  While the search continues for her, Patty says her biggest worry is Pam's medical condition.

"Her purse and her keys and car were still left in Panama City. She's not taking her medication and doctors say she could have amnesia," says Moore. "Every night me and my husband have prayed and just placed this in God's hands and we're hoping other people will do the same thing."

Anyone with information that can help authorities is asked to call the Bay County Sheriff's office or the Jefferson County Sheriff's department in Birminhgam. That number is (205) 325-1450.

So we feel like maybe as hard as it would be to leave the hotel we feel like we can do as much from home was are able to do here.

One Week Since Disappearance of Pam Biggers

Feb. 4, 2008

Despite a diligent search effort by family and friends, 52-year-old Pam Biggers is still missing.

One week later, they're now returning home to Alabama in hopes that Pam might turn up there."I hope no one else has to go through this, losing a person and having no clue where they are. It's tough to leave. It's just tough," said Don Biggers, Pam's husband.

The family has posted fliers all over Bay County, asking for information on Pam's disappearance. They've also made t-shirts with Pam's picture and information. So far no leads have panned out, but they say they're trying to stay optimistic."Hopeful I guess. Determined. Hopeful and determined would be a good word to use. I just hope we find her safe," said Zachary Biggers, Pam's son.

Though they're leaving Bay County, family members say the search is not nearly over."We're not giving up on the search at all. This is just we're expanding. You can't concentrate all of your energy in one area when it's already been covered. You have to expand. That's all we're going," said Jacob Biggers, Pam's son.

The family says they're going to stay in close contact with sheriff's investigators while they continue their search outside of Bay County.

The Biggers family sends their thanks to everyone in Bay County that has helped them out, not only in the search, but with fliers, food, hotel rooms and more.

If you have any information on Pam Biggers disappearance, please call the Bay County Sheriff's Office at 747-4700.

Family, police still search for Alabama woman last seen in Panama City Beach

Saturday, February 2, 2008
By S. Brady Calhoun
PANAMA CITY BEACH

The Bay County Sheriff's Office and 17 family members continued Saturday to search for a missing Alabama woman.

Pamela Biggers, 52, of Hueytown, Ala., came to Panama City Beach on business, her family said. Brenda Pierson, a friend and coworker, reported Biggers missing on Monday, saying she had left her purse and cell phone in her room at the La Quinta Inn on Thomas Drive. Biggers' bed did not appear to have been slept in, according to an incident report from the Bay County Sheriff's Office. Her family said nothing was stolen from her purse.

While local investigators continued to search for Biggers, family members broke off into groups and canvassed a 200-mile radius, said Debbie Cauphen, Biggers' sister-in-law. The family is desperate to find Biggers before her son, a Marine stationed in North Carolina is deployed to Iraq, Cauphen said.

Anyone who spots Biggers should call 9-1-1, investigators say.

Missing Woman Case

Posted: 5:22 PM Feb 9, 2008
Last Updated: 5:22 PM Feb 9, 2008

The search for a Hueytown, Alabama woman who disappeared at Panama City Beach almost two weeks ago is now centered in Birmingham. In fact, at least one Bay County sheriff's investigators is in Birmingham tonight, trying to track down the latest on the case.

Pam Biggers walked away from her hotel room at the La Quinta Inn on Thomas Drive while here on business. She hasn't been seen since. Local authorities, along with Biggers' family launched a massive search for the 52-year-old woman, but turned up nothing.

Friday, Sheriff's Office Chief Investigator Jimmy Stanford was in Birmingham to interview her friends and relatives and check out possible sightings. He says Biggers had mental issues.

Shortly before she disappeared, she and some of her business colleagues were in the beach Walmart. The store's video surveillance system shows Biggers behaving somewhat erratic. Family and friends reported she began hearing voices and carrying on conversations with people who were not there.

Biggers' son is being deployed to Afghanistan, and mental health experts say that could have pushed her over the edge.

Stanford says most likely her mental state probably played a role in her vanishing. But they have not ruled out foul play.

"Someone who is not in their right mind, could have left because they heard something, could have left because they were going to help someone, you know you just don't know even if that's the case. It might have been she got out to take a breath of fresh air and was abducted. We're not eliminating any possibility. We're looking at every avenue in this case."

Friday afternoon Stanford checked out a possible sighting of Biggers at a Birmingham mall several days ago, but it turned out to be a dead end.

If you have any information about this case, please call your nearest law enforcement agency

Search For Missing Alabama Woman Pamela Biggers Turns Up Nothing

Police in Panama City, Fla. say they have very little to work with in the case of a missing woman last seen going into her hotel room January 27, 2008.  Police say 52-year-old Pamela Pendley Biggers checked into the La Quinta Inn for a business trip and was seen going into her room at 7:00 p.m.  She went on the trip with a female friend from Hueytown, Ala., where they are from.

The next morning, January 28, Biggers was nowhere to be found.  Police say it looked like her bed had not been slept in, and all of her belongings were in the room.  That included her purse and cell phone, and her car was still parked outside.

Police searched a wooded area nearby but say they have found no signs of Biggers.  Even a search of surveillance cameras in nearby businesses turned up nothing. Pam Biggers' family says she has a medical condition that can cause her to get disoriented, and it's possible she tried to get somewhere more familiar to her.

Biggers was last seen wearing a white sweater with black pinstriped pants.
