No leads in search for St. Helen man missing since 2004

No new leads have been developed in the case of a St. Helen man who went missing three years ago in Ft. Wayne, IN.

Bradley Ross II, son of Kathy and Brad Ross, has been missing for three years, after disappearing in Ft. Wayne November, 2004, following a car accident.

"There's nothing new to report," Ft. Wayne Police Det. Dale Wilson told the Resorter in a phone interview Monday.

Richfield Township Police Chief Brad Bannon, who knew Ross, said the Ft. Wayne Police department is in charge of the case.

"The family has been in touch [with Richfield police]," Bannon said, adding that his department contacted Michigan State Police once the family provided dental records. "The only thing we do know is the kid hasn't resurfaced."

Bannon said missing persons incidents are treated on a caseby case basis. Some people "take off," he said, while others are found to be deceased. Still others are never found.

"There's a ton of missing people out there," he said.

Members of the Bradley Ross' family had traveled to Indiana to search for him, but to no avail.

Kathy Ross said the family raised money for a billboard featuring her son's information in the Ft. Wayne area. It was up for four or five months, she said, but the family was being charged monthly for it and it had to be removed.

"So far nothing's come up," she said.

Mrs. Ross plans to travel to Indiana next month to continue searching for information, following her father's surgery; her siblings will take turns caring for both their father and mother, who is homebound.

"It's hard," she said. "I don't care if it's three years ago. It's still like it's been today. We never gave up and we never will give up."

Bradley's 28th birthday was Aug. 15.

Ross is listed on the North American Missing Persons Network website, www.nampn.org (click on "missing persons, 2004 October-December). Ross is described as a white male, born Aug. 15, 1979, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with brown hair and blue eyes; pierced left ear; a tattoo of a tribal band around his right bicep; and a front chipped tooth.

Brad has been placed on Project Jason's 18 Wheel Angels campaign. A special poster has been made for him and can be downloaded and printed for placement. More information about the program, and the link for the poster can be found here:

http://projectjason.org/18wheel.shtml

In addition to the campaign, Brad was also featured in a national trucking publications, either Independent Contractor or TruckJobSeekers. These free magazines are distributed in truck stops nationwide and have a circulation of about 150,000.

Independent Contractor and TruckJobSeekers are two of Target Media Partner's many publications. In partnership with Project Jason, they each feature two missing persons each per month. You can pick up your free copies at a local truck stop, but if it's far from you, you may want to call and ask if they carry that magazine. These are NOT with the regular for purchase magazines.

We hope this helps in the search for Brad. Please consider printing and placing a poster in businesses in your community.

Thank you.
