Rolling 9/11 Tribute: Fueled by the Fallen and the Fireball Run

Universal Studios Orlando, Florida–

(PRWEB) August 29, 2011 -- Fueled by the Fallen, the Memorial Tribute Car Tour founded by Kevyn Major Howard, (“Rafterman” from Stanley Kubrick’s blockbuster film Full Metal Jacket) joins the 2011 Chevrolet Fireball Run Adventurally. “Fueled by the Fallen” is a non-profit that assists in supporting our Military Members, Public Safety Personnel, and their Families to aid in their emotional, physical, and financial recovery needs by displaying and racing Memorial Tribute cars.

A specially-designed 2011 Chevrolet Camaro ‘First Responders Memorial’ vehicle and a mint-condition 2001 Crown Victoria ‘National Law Enforcement Memorial’ police cruiser will compete in the rally and act as honor guard for the rally’s police escort out of destination cities. Each of the two memorial cruisers are covered with the names of over one-thousand fallen police officers and first responders that have lost their lives on and since September 11th, 2001.

“With the 10th anniversary commemoration of 9/11 just weeks before the start of the 2011 Chevrolet Fireball Run Adventurally, Fueled by the Fallen was a natural choice for a rally team, as well as a great synergistic partner for our signature cause- The Race to Recover Missing Children.” -David Hickman, EVP Marketing, Fireball Run.

Fireball Run Adventurally isn’t just a car event, but an exponentially growing entertainment property (with a cause.) The annually-filmed production travels over 2,500 miles to 15 cities in an 8 Day Race to help Recover America’s Missing Children- each team in the Fireball Run is assigned a missing child from their home region along with thousands of posters to distribute along the route. The Race to Recover America’s Missing Children is the largest active recovery effort in the country. To date, the effort has assisted in the recovery of 36 missing children.

The Fueled by the Fallen teams “Angel 1” and “Officer Down” will also be representing missing California children; Hassani Campbell and Laurence K. Brannum. They will be distributing posters and raising awareness for the plight of missing children like Hassani and Laurence who should never be forgotten; even when the situation looks bleak, they all deserve to be found.

In addition to the Fueled by the Fallen cars, as part of the 9/11 Tribute, the 2011 Chevrolet Fireball Run also has two USO Teams (searching for two missing children from Florida), and special recognition badge decals for any teams with drivers from Law Enforcement, First Responders and Military Branches, active and retired.

NASCAR legend Geoff Bodine and Shuttle Astronaut Winston Scott (searching for two missing Melbourne, FL siblings) will compete with nearly 40 other teams in the 2011 Chevrolet Fireball Run Adventurally “Southern Excursion” -which starts September 23rd on Florida’s Space Coast and concludes October 1st on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

The cities encourage the public to come out, get autographs, and show their support.
