Project Jason announces the featured missing persons in the March 2010 issue of the CDLJobs.com Online Magazine, which can be viewed at http://www.cdljobs.com/cdljobsonlinemagazine/MAR10.htm  This month's ad is on page 8. The site receives thousands of visitors per day.

Each month, CDLJobs.com publishes a full color ad in their popular online magazine which will feature 5-6 of Project Jason's missing person cases from across the country. The ad has clickable links which take the reader to additional information about the missing person, and a link to their printable poster.  Readers are encouraged to sign up for the AAN program and help with poster distribution. "You can be a Hero" is the theme of the joint venture.

Awareness Angels Network (AAN). AAN, begun by Project Jason in 2008, provides a way for the public to assist the families of missing persons. Missing persons posters designed specifically for the AAN program are disseminated via email to those enrolled in the program. Participants can then upload the posters to websites, print and place the posters in public areas, and forward them to their contacts. The program helps spread the word and increase the chances of finding the person.

In the March 2010 issue, the following missing persons were featured:

Joan Cook, missing from Salem, VA since 1/31/2010

Michael "Braydn" has been placed on Project Jason's 18 Wheel Angels campaign. A special poster has been made for him and can be downloaded and printed for placement. More information about the program, and the link for the poster can be found here:

http://projectjason.org/18wheel.shtml

In addition to the campaign, Braydn was also featured in a national trucking publications, either Independent Contractor or TruckJobSeekers. These free magazines are distributed in truck stops nationwide and have a circulation of about 150,000.

Independent Contractor and TruckJobSeekers are two of Target Media Partner's many publications. In partnership with Project Jason, they each feature two missing persons each per month. You can pick up your free copies at a local truck stop, but if it's far from you, you may want to call and ask if they carry that magazine. These are NOT with the regular for purchase magazines.

We hope this helps in the search for Bradyn. Please consider printing and placing a poster in businesses in your community.

Thank you.

A special story written by Braydn's family for the 18 Wheel Angels campaign:

To All Truck Drivers, (and other kind helpers)

We want to thank all of the Truck Drivers who involve themselves in finding our missing loved ones.  We pray that you can help our family find our loved one. You are the eyes for all of us that have loved ones missing and you are truly angels.

At the time of his disappearance we were living in Kansas. Bradyn talked to his mom almost every day.  July 15th she talked to him at 2:30 in the afternoon and a few days later his car was found on the side of the road outside of Douglas, Wyoming (near Mile Marker 121).  There was nothing in the conversation that made her feel like something was wrong.  There was a receipt in his vehicle that showed that he had a flat outside of Wheatland, Wyoming and had it fixed.  We are unclear as to why the vehicle was left just a short time afterwards.  There appeared to be nothing wrong with it.

He is a very outgoing person and would accept a ride if he was asked.  He would also talk to you and probably ask you about yourself. He worked at Bass Pro and he loved the customers and hearing their stories. The amazing thing about him was that he never forgot a person or their story and he always made you feel like you were the only person in the world.  He has a funny sense of humor and loves to laugh.  He loves animals, especially dogs.  He loves to fish and hunt and did so at every opportunity. He loves music too, but not like the normal kid.  He liked everything from Tom Jones to Metallica.  He loved the old songs and any John Wayne movie!

It is very out of character for him to not call or text his mom.  He is very close to his whole family.

He is our youngest child and only son, and even though he is 22 and 6’ 4” he is still our baby.  He has two sisters and a niece and nephew that are crazy about him.   It has been very hard for us to get help getting his story out since he isn’t a missing child, but he is our missing child.

He is Catholic and always wears a St. Michael medal on a leather strap.  He had received this when he became Godfather to his niece. He has asthma and suffers from migraines and when he left, he took no medications with him.

Our family is currently on a very emotional roller coaster ride.  We have sent fliers out to homeless shelters, food banks, Catholic churches and any other public organization.  He loves the mountains and we have spent many family vacations camping and riding through the mountains.   We pray that someone might recognize him or remember seeing him somewhere along the way.

We can’t begin to describe the pain that we feel. It is the most absolute empty feeling in the world to not know if your child is okay.  The agony of not knowing is excruciating, our bodies are in shock and our hearts are very heavy.

God Bless you for taking the time to read our story and if you think you have seen Bradyn, please contact Detective Kenton Thompson at 913-971-6206.

Thank you and God Bless!

Missing man could be in Wyoming

Thursday, January 7, 2010 5:43 PM MST

The Olathe, Kan., Police Department is seeking information on the whereabouts of a 22-year-old missing adult, Michael “Bradyn” Fuska. He was last seen in the Olathe area on July 15, 2009.

The last known contact with Fuska was on July 16 when he had a flat tire on his 1996 maroon colored Ford Explorer south of Wheatland, Wyo. His vehicle was found abandoned later in the day along northbound Interstate 25 near mile marker 122 (north of Wheatland, near Douglas). There is no evidence of foul play but Fuska’s family is very concerned about his welfare. He may be in possession of a 9 mm handgun.

Fuska is a white male, 6 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs approximately 185 pounds. He has an athletic and muscular build. Fuska’s brown hair was cut very short when he was last seen; his hair is curly when it gets longer. His eyes are brown and he is likely wearing oval-shaped, wire-rimmed glasses at this time. He has no known scars, marks or tattoos. Fuska typically wore a silver St. Michael’s pendant on a leather cord necklace; he may be carrying a blue Nike bag.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Olathe Police Department at (913) 971-7455, (913) 971-6950 or the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.

Television show to spotlight missing man from Olathe

11/5/2010

The disappearance of a Lawrence man who grew up in Olathe will be featured Monday in a television show, its publicist said this week.

Michael Bradyn Fuksa, 23, has been missing since shortly after he moved from his parents’ home in Olathe to Lawrence in summer of last year.

Partly it appears he is running from an arrest warrant on a charge of stealing, the next episode of Disappeared will report on the Investigation Discovery network Monday at 9 p.m.

He was out on bond on the stealing charge when he told his roommate July 15, 2009 that he was heading to Olathe to see his parents and never arrived, police said.

His 1996 maroon Ford Explorer was found the next day abandoned on a highway near Douglas Wyo.

The Disappeared show seeks to highlight missing person cases and provide fresh leads, its publicist said.

Bradyn Fuksa

In summer 2009, twenty-two year old Bradyn Fuksa has just moved out of his parent's house to begin life on his own in Lawrence, Kansas. But alarms go off when Bradyn's parents suddenly stop hearing from their otherwise communicative son. Things go from bad to worse when they also discover a handgun missing from their home. Then, another blow — Bradyn's car is found abandoned seven hundred miles away in Wyoming.

Bradyn's family and friends feel their world turn upside down as police reveal that Bradyn has been guarding a dark secret — there's a warrant out for his arrest. But even as the pieces of this disturbing puzzle come together and it appears that Bradyn is running from the law, he is still nowhere to be found. As authorities from a half-dozen states try to track him, Bradyn remains missing.

If you have information about Bradyn Fuksa, contact Olathe Police Dept, (913) 971-6206.
