Jesse Larson still missing

Posted: Wednesday, July 3, 2013 12:53 pm

Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl reminds the public that the search for 27 year old Jesse James Larson, who has been missing since June 21st, 2013, is still active and ongoing. The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, MN DNR, the Larson family, and volunteers from the Central Lakes Search and Rescue, have conducted numerous searches of the area around Larson’s last known whereabouts north of Crosby in Perry Lake Twsp.

On Saturday, June 29th, the family of Jesse Larson reported that the black lab, “Annie”, that was believed to be with Larson, returned to the family farm. No other viable leads have developed on this case.

Sheriff Dahl is once again asking the public for the help in checking their property for signs of Jesse Larson. Jesse Larson is described as a white male, 5’ 9” tall, 175 lbs with brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a t-shirt and brown work boots. He also has a Ducks Unlimited tattoo on the underside of his right forearms and a shotgun shell tattoo on the underside of his left forearm.

Any information should be forwarded to the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s office at 218-829-4749.

Human remains found by hunters in Crow Wing County
10:04 AM, Nov 25, 2013

BRAINERD, Minn. - Human remains found by hunters in Crow Wing County over the weekend are believed to be those of a missing Crosby man.

Deputies were dispatched to a wooded area in Perry Lake township just before 12:30 p.m. after deer hunters made the discovery.

Based on evidence at the scene, the remains are believed to be  27-year-old Jesse James Larson who had been reported missing by family members on June 21.

Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl says at this time foul play is not suspected in Larson's death.

"This is a very tough situation for not only the family, but the many people involved," said Dahl. "Our deepest sympathy goes out to all who knew Jesse Larson and the entire Larson family."

The remains were transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for positive identification.

It is with profound grief and sadness that our family surrenders Jesse James Larson into the open and loving arms of his grandparents Art and Freida Larson and Junior and Joan Hite, in the house of the Lord.

Born April 30, 1986, to Carl and Doreen (Hite) Larson of Crosby, Jesse James touched the lives of all he met. Jesse enjoyed playing football and baseball as a Crosby-Ironton Ranger graduating from high school in 2004.

Working, while completing his apprenticeship, Jesse became a proud member of Sprinkler Fitters, UA, Local 669 and traveled around Minnesota for several years with Brother’s Fire.

An avid outdoorsman, Jesse enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, welding, working on his family’s ranch and most importantly the camaraderie of friends and family.

Jesse’s infectious joy for living life to its fullest and loving those with whom he spent time, leaves us with abundant memories that we intend to pass along to the sweet baby he was ecstatic to meet in January.

Jesse James will be deeply missed by his parents, Carl and Doreen Larson; his brother, Jon (Anna) Larson; sisters, Jodi (Brent) Stangel, Jami (Mike) Bodle and Jena Larson; his grandmother, Alice Hite; Jesse’s pride and joy, his nieces and nephews, Hunter, Chase, Isabel, Jade, Sage, Trey, Mariah, Madilyn and Brody, will forever treasure the love and joyful times they shared with their “Uncle Jess.”

A service of remembrance, honoring Jesse James Larson, will be held at the Emily City Hall (former Emily School) officiated by Pastor Barry Hite on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.

Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
