  • Start by removing everything from the floor

In case you have planned to clean the whole car interior from the top to the car carpets and mats, then you should empty the car of any items. These include private items like CDs, wallets, pens, etc. when you are able to get out all these items, cleaning the car upholstery and carpet becomes much easier.

  • Take your floor mats outside

Remove the floor mats and shake them outside so that any dirty particles on them can be discarded. Then, place them near your vehicle in a dry place.

  • Vacuum your car well

  • Select a carpet cleaner and a brush to carry out the job

  • Clean the carpet

  • If you have trouble with stains in your car, you can use glass stain which does a great job. All you need to do is to soak the stain in glass cleaner for a few minutes and then clean with a towel. This cleaner is very effective as it doesn’t leave behind a soapy residue. But if you have spills like soda or coffee, you should dilute them as soon as possible. Use cold water and clean with a towel.
  • If the carpet floor is greasy, you can use paint thinner to get rid of it. This functions well to get stains more so grease from your upholstery. Clean using a cloth. For those who love having animals inside their car, they should apply borax on the floor and then vacuum it. This will get rid of the pet odor and pet dander from your vehicle.
