James Lohrey
(Posted 11:45 a.m.) The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing Ohio man. James Lohrey, age 60, was reported missing by his family to the Willoughby, Ohio Police Department on July 16. Mr. Lohrey has not been seen or heard from since June 2007. The family did not make an earlier complaint due to Mr. Lohrey being a frequent, impulsive international traveler and would often disappear for months at a time.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was contacted after a Willoughby Police Detective discovered that Mr. Lohrey's registration plates had been checked several times by the Sheriff's Office in August and September of 2007.

In August 2007, Mr. Lohrey's car, a silver 1996 Pontiac Firebird with Ohio plates, was discovered abandoned in the Grimes Cove parking lot off Rt. 96 in the Ocean Point area of East Boothbay by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office. Local residents reported the car had been there for most of the summer. In October 2007, the car was removed from the lot by a local towing service at the lot owner's request. All attempts to contact the owner at that time failed. The car remains in storage.

James Lohrey, age 60, is a white male, 5'09" tall, weight 180, brown hair and blue eyes.

Any persons who may have had contact with Mr. Lohrey or have any information as to his whereabouts are asked to call Detective Robert McFetridge of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office at 207-882-7332.
