Bailey County child now missing for 7 years

BAILEY COUNTY, TX (KCBD) - In Bailey County, the search for a missing child has now lasted for seven years. John Martens was last seen on Sept. 23, 2007.

 

He was just 5 years old at the time.

 

The Department of Missing and Exploited children has issued an age-progressed photo to show what Martens may look like today.

 

Martens' mother, Margaretha Freisen, is accused of taking him. A felony warrant for kidnapping has been issued.

 

Investigators believe that Freisen may have taken Martens to Mexico.
