Hanna Disappearance Still A Mystery

WBGZ Radio 6/29/12

Now a year since he was last seen, there's still no sign of 28-year-old Jared Hanna of Jerseyville. Hanna is thought to have been in Alton on July 3 of last year, but his truck was found in Clinton County. His family was contacted by police in Clinton County a few days later, after authorities there found the truck in a rural area.

In the weeks since his disappearance, the number of people reporting clues slowly declined. His mother, Pat New, says there will be a candellight vigil tonight.

The Lion's Club Park is located behind the Dairy Queen. Hanna is a white male, standing about 5-7 and weighs 195 pounds. He has two children. If you have information on his whereabouts, contact police, or go to Facebook and search for Help Find Jared Hanna.

Hanna Disappearance Still A Mystery
Story by WBGZ Radio
WBGZ Radio 5/13/2013
By Doug Jenkins, Mark Ellebracht

Nearly two years since he disappeared, police near where 28-year-old Jared Hanna of Jerseyville was last seen still have no new credible leads as to what may have happened to him.   Hanna is thought to have been in Alton on July 3 of 2011, but his truck was found in Clinton County.   His family was contacted by police in Clinton County a few days later, after authorities there found the truck in a rural area.

In the weeks since his disappearance, the number of people reporting clues slowly declined.  His mother, Pat New, says although three missing girls were recently rescued in Ohio, she's not getting her hopes up:

Hanna is a white male, standing about 5-7 and weighs 195 pounds.   He has two children.  If you have any information on his whereabouts, contact the Clinton County Sheriff's Department at 618-594-4555.

Several Missing Persons Cases Open

WBGZ Radio 12/3/2013

By Doug Jenkins, Mark Ellebracht - WBGZ Radio

A week after being reported missing, police are still looking for an Alton woman who left her home on College Avenue on Saturday, November 23.  Courtney C. Coats was last seen around noon leaving her home on foot, wearing an orange, white and black Harley-Davidson leather jacket, blue jeans, and carrying a green duffel bag.

Alton Police Department Public Information Officer Emily Hejna says they need the public's help to find the Jerseyville native.

If you have any information on where she may be, call 463-3505.

Jared Hanna

In other missing persons cases, it's been more than two years since Jared Hanna of Jerseyville was last seen, and police still have no new credible leads as to what may have happened to him.   Hanna is thought to have been in Alton on July 3 of 2011, but his truck was found in Clinton County.  If you have any information on his whereabouts, contact the Clinton County Sheriff's Department at 618-594-4555.

R.V. Mandrell

82-year-old R.V. Mandrell is still missing, more than two months after he was last seen by family members.  He lives by himself at his home in the 1700 block of New Jamestown Road in Spanish Lake in north St. Louis County, but is formerly from Alton, so there was speculation he may have been heading to Illinois.

Missing Persons Cases Still Open

By Doug Jenkins - WBGZ Radio

WBGZ Radio 6/25/15

It’s been almost four years since Jared Hanna of Jerseyville was last seen, and police still have no new credible leads as to what may have happened to him.   Hanna’s family is hoping to generate new interest in the case as the anniversary of his disappearance is now a week away.

Hanna is thought to have been in Alton on July 3 of 2011, but his truck was found in Clinton County.  His sister, Heather Hanna, tells The Big Z they need someone with information on his disappearance to step up.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, contact the Clinton County Sheriff's Department at 618-594-4555.  Local police are also still working the Bonnie Woodward case.  She vanished June 24, 2010.  While still technically a missing persons case, Alton Detectives have been treating it as a homicide from early in the investigation.  If you have any information on that case, call 463-3505.
