The USER CP link at the top of the site is the new link to your profile information. There are some new features here I would like to go over.

"Account Info" (Account Related Settings) - here you can change your email address or password. A new feature offered is the ability to supply a security question and answer to use in case you forget your password. Any changes made on this page require you to enter your password. Please note, if you are changing your password, the box for the current password at the bottom of the page would be for the current password, not the one you want to change it to.

You also have the option to select "Hide email address from public?". By selecting this box, your email address will not be shown on the forum for other members, including the Moderators and Administrators. (We strongly recommend that family members of missing persons hide their email from the public.)

"Look & Layout Options" (Look and Layout Preferences) - use this area to select how you would like the time /  date to be displayed and select your local time zone.

This area also offers these additional options:
  Show board descriptions inside boards.
  Show child boards on every page inside boards, not just the first. 
  Don't show users' avatars. 
  Don't show users' signatures. 
  Return to topics after posting by default - by selecting this feature, after you make a post, you will be returned to the page that contains the post. If you do not select this feature, after posting you will be returned to the main topic listing of that board.
  Don't warn on new replies made while posting. 
  Show most recent posts at the top. 
  Show most recent personal messages at top. 
  First day of the week on the calendar:  Sunday Monday Saturday 
  Use quick reply on topic display:  don't show at all show, off by default show, on by default 
  Show quick-moderation on message index as  don't show. checkboxes. icons. 

"My Theme" - here you can select from different styles offered. At this time, there is only one style/theme offered for the forum.

"My Profile" (Forum Profile Information) - on this page you can choose an avatar. You can select one that the forum offers, or you can upload your own image to use. If you choose, you can enter your ICQ, MSN, AIM or YIM nicknames/numbers. We will be adding Bebo and MySpace information as it becomes available. I know there are several people that have a MySpace for their missing loved one, so thought this would be a nice added feature. Hopefully it won't be too long for these features.

You can also select to add a signature to your profile. This will be shown at bottom of all the messages that you post on the forum, unless you select to not display it in the additional options at the bottom of the posting box. There is also a box for you to enter a website.

"My Stats" (Profile Info / Show Stats) - this will show how manyposts you have made

"My Posts" (Profile Info / Show Posts  or Show Topics) - lists the posts you have made

"My Notifications" (Notifications and Email) - allows you to be notified of replies to posts, newly posted topics, and forum announcements. You can change those settings here, or oversee the topics and boards you are currently receiving notifications for.

Options are:
  Receive reply notification only for the first unread reply.
  Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic.
  When sending notification of a reply to a topic, send the post in the email (but please don't reply to these emails.)

If you select to be updated about any topic or board changes, the boards and topics you are "watching" will be listed at the bottom of this page.

"Buddies" - you can add members to your buddy list

"My Message Options" (Personal Message Options) - This screen will allow you to set your preferences for PMs received on the board and also allow you to ignore people you do not wish to receive PMs from.

"Search" - This screen will allow you to search for posts made in the board.

"Contact Admin" - Contact the admin via email at this screen

Delete this account - if for some reason you will no longer be using our forum, you could delete your user account. This can not be undone.
