FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ensuring a Safe Halloween for Children of Nebraska Furniture Mart Employees
Omaha, NE—October 25, 2009-- Nebraska Furniture Mart employees and their families will celebrate Halloween a little bit early, and a lot more safely, in an unusual place: the Distribution Center (DC).
The 3rd annual DC Halloween Family Night is Sunday, October 25th, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Face painting, car and motorcycle shows, trick or treating, balloons, and raffles for prizes are some of the festivities. Free safety information, and ID and DNA kits will be shared, thanks to the local nonprofit, Project Jason. Project Jason’s lovable 6-foot mascot ID Kitty will be present to greet the children. NFM DC Management will all be in costume.
Scott Baker, NFM DC Manager, stated: “We’re always thinking of safety first for our employees in a warehouse environment, but that care and concern doesn’t end at our front door. The well-being of our employees and their families is important to us. We’re looking forward to seeing the children in costume, and it will be nice for them to see where mom or dad works.”
The event is open to all NFM DC employees. Entry is at the main pick-up dock.
