Where is Barbara Frame? Zanesville Family Still Searching For Answers in 1985 Cold Case
By Kevin Landers

UPDATED: Thursday October 23, 2014 5:55 PM
ZANESVILLE, Ohio - A single mother of three vanished from Zanesville back in 1985. Nearly, three decades later, police still don't have any leads.
"It's hard it's very hard not knowing what happened; never going to know," says Kathy Huber, whose mother disappeared in 1985.
Huber was 14-years old when she says her 38-year old mother Barbara Frame left their Zanesville home on January 30th and then vanished. "She got her coat and said she was going to be back cook us dinner and she never came back," says Huber
Her daughter says just before her mother left, Barbara told her she received a call from an attorney about a meeting regarding her recent divorce. "There ended up being no appointment. They found her car next day, empty," she says.
Police say her mother's blue Monte Carlo was found in front of a bar, across the street from United Technologies, where Barbara worked.
Her daughter believes her mother was a victim of foul play. But police say they can't prove that.
Barbara Frame lived at 1603 Alice Street, and it's the last place anyone saw her before she disappeared. According to police, she was home with her ex-husband when they both left in separate cars. Police say the ex-husband took a polygraph test and the results were inconclusive"
Kathy says she doesn’t believe her mother is still alive. “She's had no contact with any family.” That includes her grandmother, who Kathy says was dying in the hospital and who her mother she says visited every day.
The family believes someone knows what happened to Barbara Frame.
Her daughter says she won't stop seeking answers. "I'll never give up, if nothing comes up I'll keep trying.”
On Saturday at 9:00 a.m., friends will gather at the Pick "N Save on Underwood Street in Zanesville to hand out missing person's flyers of Barbara Frame in hopes someone will remember what happened to her.

Local Residents Gather to Commemorate a Missing Local Woman
POSTED BY: Brittany Clark
Saturday, January 30, 2016 - 05:48 PM
Today marks the 31st anniversary of a local woman's disappearance.
Barbara Frame went missing January 30th of 1985 after coming home from work and leaving for an appointment with her lawyer. She walked out the door and was never seen or heard from again. Family and friends gathered at the Muskingum County Courthouse Saturday morning to commemorate frame followed by the release of a message in a balloon. Private Investigator Lilly Paisley said their goal is to bring closure to the family.
"I have received about 100 tips in the past year and a half and I think that we are moving forward, I hope that this will be our last awareness event without divulging any information yet. We have some things that needs to be tested and we have some sworn statements and I think we are moving forward but, things has to be verified and we got to get some legal authorities involved in some of the areas that we explored," said Paisley.
Paisley said she feels they have turned a corner in the case, and she is hopeful. Barbara's son, Ernest Huber said the family needs closure to move on.
"If there is people out there that know anything about what happened to come forward and give that information so we can find a resolution for this," said Huber.

31 Years And Still Searching For Frame
POSTED BY: Carmel Victor
Monday, May 16, 2016 - 03:53 PM
A private investigator and a team of volunteers are working tirelessly to finally close a cold case.
Private investigator Lilly Paisley has been tracking leads regarding the disappearance of Barbara Frame that happened over 30 years ago. Lilly and her team of volunteers, which includes two anthropologists are hoping to hit pay dirt. Paisley received a lead stating Frame's remains are in a well located on Langan Line, and with approval of the homeowner. Paisley and her team are searching the well.
"When we started into the well, we've found 20 ton of debris," said Paisley. "That had to be taken out by hand bucket by bucket. It was very time consuming. The more debris we got, the more time it was going to take to sift through and look for any remains."
Paisley said locating the well was no easy feat.
"It was covered up. It was underground. It took a lot of work. The natural eye would not be able to see this well. It was gone. I feel that we are in the right spot. We've not yet arrive but I anticipate a good outcome. Very optimistic that we will not have to have anymore Barbara Frame awareness events." said Paisley.
"It just doesn't feel real," said Frame's daughter Kathy Hubert. "It's been so long. It doesn't feel real that it could be almost over."
Paisley said none of this would be possible without the help of her volunteers. She also says this location seems to be very promising. If you have any information regarding the disappearance of Barbara Frame contact (740) 455-5555.
