Missing man’s grandmother speaks out
Man last seen at Jamestown casino

It has been over a week since 35-year-old Allen Christopher Martin disappeared after he left a Jamestown casino.

Surveillance footage shows Martin casually walking across the parking lot at Chicken Ranch Casino about 10:30 p.m. Feb. 9, the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reported. He has something in his hand and appears to be looking at a cellphone.

“He definitely left on his own,” Sheriff’s Sgt. Deborah Moss said. “It was not reported that he won any money.”

Moss said Martin, a Modesto resident, has not had contact with his family since that evening. His father reported him missing the following day.

Martin’s grandmother, Jackie, described him as a “very caring person.”

He went to the casino with his friends that evening, she said.

“He’s super good to me. I can call him if I need him to do something to my computer, or my fence needs to be fixed, or I need a tree chopped down — he will do it for me,” Jackie said.

Martin is a licensed vocational nurse at Hy-Lond Health Care Center in Modesto, Jackie said.

Heather Brumfield, senior payroll coordinator for Avalon Health Care, said Martin has worked at Hy-Lond since July 2015.

Jackie said Martin has a 10-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son.

“He’s an only child, and he’s my only grandchild,” she said.

At the time of his disappearance, Martin was wearing blue jeans, a blue long-sleeve shirt and a gray jacket.

It is undetermined if foul play is suspected, Moss said.

Martin is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes, weighing 200 pounds.

Anyone with information on Martin’s whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (209) 533-5815.
